Eastlit November 2014 and Eastlit December 2014 have both been released over the last couple of months. Both of these issues probably deserve a little mention on my blog. Firstly both have attracted very high readership. This is especially pleasing when our aim at Eastlit is to raise the profile of local writers from East Asia and Southeast Asia. That we are achieving this also shows the increasing interest in English literature from East and South East Asia. Eastlit November 2014 introduces three new writers to Eastlit while Eastlit December 2014 weighs in with four new writers, poets or artists. As usual there are also returning writers and poets featured in both issues.
The November issue cover features the picture Clouds which was taken by me. The December issue of Eastlit shows The Guardian a picture I took in Laos. While it is nice to receive positive feedback about my pictures, I would actually prefer to use interesting ones by others, so if you have any East or South East pictures of interest, please send them in.
Well we have now past the two year milestone, and that feels good. We have a few new plans for year three, but more of those in another post.
Thanks to all our readers.
