Eastlit June 2014 is now out a day early. This is the largest issue of Eastlit yet, and on its first day of release, yesterday, we recorded more readers and views than we have ever seen on a single day before. Eastlit once again introduces nine writers or artists new to Eastlit. This months editorial is by Nichole Reber. The cover picture features Mai Văn Phấn whose poetry can be found in Eastlit June 204. The photograph is by Nguyễn Quang Thiều.
Eastlit June 2014 covers the following countries within East and South East Asia:
- The Philippines
- Hong Kong
Stefanie Field reviews Joe Studwell’s Asian Godfathers and there is another interview by me. This time it is Daniel Emlyn-Jones.
Eastlit continues to seek submissions to be considered by our editorial board for our monthly issues. Any creative writing, literature or artwork focused on East or South East Asia is welcomed. All enquiries can be sent to the Eastlit editors.
I would like to thank everyone who has contributed work, given advice, reads or supports Eastlit. Without you we would not be where we are today as one of the best read literary journals in Asia.
